Almost 1 in 2 women and more than 2 in 5 men report experiencing intimate partner violence. These aren't just numbers - they represent our neighbors, friends, and family members.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I'm fundraising as a board member of the Survivor Justice Center (formerly, the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice). Last year, we helped over 1,000 survivors access free legal representation and community resources to escape violence and build safer futures.

Domestic violence is a pattern of abuse, power and control over a partner resulting in psychological trauma, physical injury or even death. Serving the community for over 50 years, the Center helps survivors take back control of their lives by providing free legal representation and support in and outside of the courtroom. With your support, we can help survivors reclaim their lives free from violence and on a path towards safety and stability.
