October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and in honor of this important month, I’d like to ask you for your support to my fundraiser.

I am a member of the Leadership Council for the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice. LACLJ is a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to low-income domestic violence and sexual assault survivors and their families. As a former pro bono volunteer for them, I can tell you that the legal system is confusing, hard to navigate, and stacked against domestic violence survivors. The work that the organization's attorneys do, as well as their pro bono volunteers, is essential, especially in today's political climate.

Help me reach my goal and donate to this important cause today. Every donation will count towards ensuring low-income survivors in our community have access to the services they need to survive.

Every year, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, LACLJ Board Members, Staff, Volunteers and Support fundraise to secure justice for low-income survivors.

You can make the difference for survivors so they may become free from violence, protect their families, and create more hopeful futures. 

$50 can provide an hour of translation services 
$150 can provide an advocate to support a survivor at family mediation 
$250 can provide a social worker to connect survivors to housing, food or mental health services
$500 can provide a legal advocate to protect a victim's rights in court 
$1,000 can provide attorney representation to a survivor at their restraining order hearing
$2,000 can provide free legal help for an immigrant survivor applying for a U-visa
