Domestic Violence is an issue that continues to grow, especially during these dark times. I have dedicated my career to provide legal support to women who have lived controlled, isolated, and abused lives and am proud to be part of an organization like LACLJ that makes it it's mission to secure justice for domestic violence survivors and empower them to create their own future. I ask that you join me in supportting this cause during this month of October that is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) by helping me meet my goal to raise DVAM funds.
Every year, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, LACLJ Board Members, Staff, Volunteers and Support fundraise to secure justice for low-income survivors.
Your support during Domestic Violence Awareness Month will ensure low-income survivors have access to free legal representation.
You can make the difference for survivors so they may become free from violence, protect their families, and create more hopeful futures.
$50 can provide an hour of translation services
$150 can provide an advocate to support a survivor at family mediation
$250 can provide a social worker to connect survivors to housing, food or mental health services
$500 can provide a legal advocate to protect a victim's rights in court
$1,000 can provide attorney representation to a survivor at their restraining order hearing
$2,000 can provide free legal help for an immigrant survivor applying for a U-visa
